ANTI-HUNGER PROGRAM North Kansas City Food Pantry Volunteer

North Kansas City YMCA

Join the North Kansas City YMCA in our efforts to eliminate hunger in our community by volunteering at our open food pantry! Volunteers will not only be helping our community members fill their bellies but they will also be helping provide food that has been intentionally selected for its nutritional quality. Volunteers in this position will help food pantry participants select food items, track food items dispensed in the community, and help create a welcoming environment for all that come in the Y's doors. This is the first of its kind entity in our YMCA of Greater Kansas City network and we are so excited to bring this program to the North Kansas City community! This volunteer-operated pantry opened in April of 2019 and it could not operate without the support of hundreds of volunteer hours that help with everything from daily operations to produce deliveries and pickups. We are extremely grateful for the support from our community and are always looking for more community members to engage in our meaningful work.
